Connecting with Windows Me

A step-by-step walkthrough

1) On the desktop, double-click on My Computer. You'll see the following window.


2) Double-click on the Dial-up Networking link. You'll see the following window.


3) Double-click on Make New Connection to create a new dial-up connection icon. The box under Type a name for the computer you are dialing is highlighted. Enter 100 Mile NetShop for the name. Press Next.


4) Enter the area code which is 250. Type the dial-up telephone number which is 395-1925. Select Canada for the country, then click Next, then Finish on the last window.


5) Right-click on the newly created icon in Dial-up Networking. You will see the following window.

6) Left-click on Properties. You'll see the following window. Un-check the Use area code and Dialing Properties box.


7) Click on the Networking tab. You should set up the screen as follows.

8) Click on OK. You are now back to the Dial-up Networking screen. You are now ready to dial-up and connect.
